Universal Credit – ‘Help to Claim’
The Department for Work and Pensions is funding Citizens Advice to provide independent advice and digital support with making a Universal Credit application – the ‘Help to Claim’ scheme.
This includes:
- Setting up a Universal Credit account and supporting you with your initial claim submission, including filling out the online application form
- Helping you to complete your claim and be ready to receive your first payment
- Checking that you have the correct evidence to receive your payment
- Personal budgeting to help you to manage your money effectively
Citizens Advice can offer this support:
- Face-to-face, Monday to Thursday between 10am and 4pm (no appointment necessary)
- Over the phone on freephone 0800 144 8 444, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
