We can help you access support to identify the best deals for energy provision and access national and local grants where applicable, including Frimley Fuel Allotments and Project Wenceslas – sponsored by Woking Lions Club.

Project Wenceslas

This was set up by Woking Lions Club to help the people of Woking and surrounding areas who may be struggling to pay their fuel bills and have possibly built up debt to their energy supplier.

Money is collected from people who are awarded the Government’s Winter Fuel Allowance but who choose to donate it to those in Fuel Poverty.

Small grants are available to individuals living in Chobham, West End and Bisley who make an application and who meet certain criteria.

We can also help you find a cheaper supplier. By giving us a few details about your current energy provider and tariff, we can run a price comparison check and talk you through the results, possibly making your energy costs cheaper for you moving forward.

Frimley Fuel Allotments – Heating Grants

Each year the Charity provides assistance with heating costs to applicants with limited means living in the GU15 & GU16 area. Grant decisions are made in December and paid the following month to the applicant’s energy provider by bank transfer.

If you wish to apply for a grant please complete the Heating Form on Frimley Fuel Allotments’ website at www.frimleyfuelallotments.org or contact the Office on 01276 25017 for an application form.

Grants can be obtained by making an application on the prescribed form to the Grant Secretary as shown below.
