If you have been a victim of fraud, don’t panic or feel ashamed – there are things you could do.
Protect yourself
If you feel threatened, call the police immediately on 999. If you have paid money in the last 24 hours or the scammer is nearby you should use 101.
Congratulations and huge thanks to everyone who participated in making last Saturday’s quiz such a massive success. We really hope you enjoyed the evening and thought you would like to know that we raised £3,100, completely smashing our target and exceeding last year’s takings by a whopping £700.
Your generosity really makes a difference and helps ensure we can continue to provide advice and support for another year,
Camberley Citizens Advice was one of the 200 Citizens Advice Bureaux that opened 80 years ago in 1939 as a response to the start of the Second World Ward. It operated two afternoons a week and was staffed by volunteers who gave advice about wartime arrangements such as rationing or conscription and also helped people contact relatives in Europe via the Red Cross.
This year our annual golf day was held at the prestigious Swinley Forest Golf Club on 23 April . Twenty teams enjoyed the magnificent course and the sunshine, followed by a fabulous lunch and fund-raising auction.
We were fortunate enough to raise £11,131 from the event, which will be used to extend our services to Surrey Heath residents so many thanks go to all those who participated as well as the organisations who donated prizes and auction lots.
You will now find us in the old Surrey Heath Museum space on the first floor and across from the Registrar’s office in Surrey Heath House.
